DUST Academy MOOC

An open-access online course designed to help you actively and inclusively engage in sustainability transitions.

Welcome to the DUST Academy MOOC

This MOOC brings together insights, tools, and methodologies developed within the DUST project, offering learners practical guidance on how to foster participation, strengthen social cohesion, and amplify voices that are often least heard. Whether you are a student, young professional, or practitioner, the DUST Academy MOOC invites you to learn from real experiences and apply participatory approaches in your own context.

The MOOC is designed for:

  • Students interested in participation, governance, and societal transitions

  • Young professionals working in policy, planning, engagement, or social innovation

  • Practitioners seeking practical participatory tools that can be replicated in real-world settings

Learning goals

By completing the DUST Academy MOOC, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the context and challenges of participation in sustainability transitions

  • Learn about practical, replicable tools and methodologies developed within the DUST project

  • Learn how to actively and inclusively engage communities, with a focus on underrepresented voices

  • Translate insights from community experiences into actionable practices

  • Learn about how to apply DUST’s approach in academic, professional, or real-world settings

Modules

The DUST Academy MOOC consists of six modules, each built around a focused lecture or tutorial. Each module contains:

  • A video lecture from one of DUST’s partners with transcript

  • A short quiz on the content of the lecture

  • Reflective questions for further study

  • Additional multi-media learning materials from outside the project

Together, the six modules form a coherent learning pathway that moves from understanding participation challenges to applying concrete participatory methods.

Gdzie pracujemy?
